Lindiwe! (2012) Is a 10min play exploring themes around censorship, mis and disinformation in African newsrooms. It was written, directed and first performed as a solo play by Jedi Ramalapa.
Lindiwe! Is a play set in a news broadcasting studio. The Zulu King is about to make an important public announcement that will shock the nation to its core. It’s a love story caught up in a complex web of lies, half-truths, rumours and misinformation. It is a fast paced tale told as a breaking news story by news journalists’ on Radio and Television, not to mention twitter and Facebook. It’s a journey between two kingdoms held precariously together by a dangerous mix of fact and fiction.
